I went into labour after!! I had the birth preparation treatment followed by a full body massage. Both treatments were incredible. Angela has so much knowledge and experience, she really puts your mind and body at ease. After the acupuncture and during the reflexology I started to feel some lower back pain which continued through the rest of the day. I lost my plug and contractions started later that night. I used the pressure points Angela showed me, along with the oils for the rest of that day. I left the appointment feeling lighter, relaxed and on an oxytocin high. I did have a post dates appointment booked for a week later but baby boy arrived before. I can’t recommend these treatments or Angela enough 🩵

Had the best first reflexology treatment! Lauren was great to talk to and made me feel so comfortable throughout, as a first time mum it was really helpful being able to discuss a variety of topics which has helped put my mind at ease! Will be back for sure ☺️

    Thank you for choosing Highland Natal Therapies.   Angela and Lauren provide a unique service, offering complementary therapies to women during pregnancy and the first 12 weeks following delivery. We are based in Inverness in the Scottish Highlands and specialise in pre and post natal therapies including Aromatherapy massage, *Acupuncture, Reflex Zone Therapy. Clinical Hypnosis, and Moxibustion.  Angela has also gained a qualification as a specialist c-section scar therapist.  *At present the acupuncture service is not available.

Angela Westley

Hi, my name is Angela Westley. I am a practising midwife in the Highlands. I have always had a keen interest in complementary therapies. This would have been my career of choice had I not been successful in my path to become a midwife. My passion for combining midwifery and complementary therapies comes from my personal experience as a mum who suffered from hyperemesis (severe sickness in pregnancy). Having completed my Diploma in Midwifery Complementary Therapies, I now have the knowledge and the skills to offer women an alternative solution for common issues in pregnancy, that can compliment their existing NHS antenatal care.

I have caught the bug for learning and am now qualified in Midwifery Acupuncture for preconception/pregnancy/postnatal, Clinical Hypnosis for pregnancy and birth, and a specialist c-section scar therapist. 

I am insured with Fedant and have a full discloure check.

Hello! My name is Lauren MacLean, I am a registered midwife working in the Highlands. I have always been interested in complementary therapies and have seen first hand how effective they can be for women during pregnancy and birth. Caring and getting to know women and their families during this transition is a huge privilege. Completing a Diploma in Midwifery Complementary Therapies has given me the stepping stone to create more choice for women in facilitating a holistic approach to their pregnancy and birth experience. Combining both professions has added to what was already a purposeful career.

I am insured with Fedant and have a full discloure check.
